when? where? who? why?
When heading out on a night out it is important to plan ahead, so you can have a safe and enjoyable evening. If you do decide to drink alcohol ensure you can get home safely, and avoid putting yourself in a dangerous situation.
When you drink alcohol, it goes into your stomach and small intestine. It gets absorbed into your blood. So what are the danger of alcohol ? Drinking alcohol can impair your ability to react and lower your inhibitions, both of which can cause you serious problems. Research shows that alcohol consumption can impair reaction times and decision-making at blood-alcohol levels much lower than the .08 legal intoxication level.
To find out if you can go home safely, our team decided to created a connected bracelet that has the ability to measure your blood alcohol level.
for whom?
This bracelet was created for all the clubbers who consume alcohol and dont know if they drink to much to go safe at home with their car, scooter.... If these people are drinking AND driving their must use this bracelet for their own safety.
What is a clubber ? It is a person who frequently goes to clubs that play dance music. The age of a clubber goes from 18 to 50years old and+.
what? how?
The product is a connected bracelet that could save some people's lives! It will measure the blood alcohol level in real time thanks to perspiration.
How ? The bracelet is worn as a connected watch and has a battery with a battery life of 4 days. Linked to an application, the bracelet is equipped with sensors that will analyze the perspiration of the wearer.
By entering some information (size, weight, authorized rate in your country) the application will calculate your blood alcohol level but also the amount of alcohol that your body is able to support. Specifically, once the bracelet on your wrist, it will turn on and vibrate as soon as you reach the limit set with your recorded data.
when? where? who? why?
Our project would require a smartphone and a connected bracelet. Its aims are clubbers that are moving to one club to another during the night.
During a night out, it happens that a group a friends have different desirs regarding the end of the night. Our project would allow clubbers to find clubbing partners.
for whom?
It is designed for clubbers, people that go to night clubs to dance/ hang out with friends, and want to move to another club during the night or want to find people willing to share an uber/hitch/lime to go home.
More specifically, our app and its bracelet aim 1) the people that will part away from the group with whom they entered the club, either because they want to go home early or later than their friend, or because they feel like hitting another club but are the only one wanting to do so. 2) Our second clubber target will be people that came to the club alone and want to create a group of fellow clubber, the connection being made while actually moving out of the club.
what? how?
When a person wants to move out of a club, either to go home or to go to another club, he or she can enter his/her destination on our app. The clubber will then be connected to a group of people that share the same goal as his. His bracelet will light up with a specific color linked to his specific group of people, allowing him to have an easier access to his group physically in the club, where it is dark. The bracelet will also vibrate when the clubber is close to member of the group.
Once two bracelets are touching each other for at least 2 seconds, the app understands that fellow clubers have found each other and it stops vibrating. The light of the bracelet will reduce in intensity but will only stop at the exit of the club so that if other members of the group aren't there yet, they can still spot other members gathered.
The bracelet will be equipped with sensors and a set of led as well as a wireless bluetooth connection to connect the device to the smartphone. Our app will work with Ios and Android.
